Longs to open first Hawaii in-store health clinic

HONOLULU Longs Drug and Access Medical Clinic are teaming up to open the first retail-based medical clinic in Hawaii. The walk-in clinic will be located in the Longs Drug store in Mililani Town Center and is due to open by the end of 2007.

The clinic will be operated by internist Todd Kubo and business partner Raymond Bihis. Like most clinics, it will specialize in treating minor ailments and refer patients with more serious conditions to emergency rooms or doctors. Access Medical plans to accept both insurance and cash payments.

Longs Drug already has several in-store health clinics in its California stores operated by QuickHealth.
