Mayne Pharma launches generic Pacerone in new strength

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Mayne Pharma on Monday announced the launch of its generic of Paceron (amiodarone) tablets in 100-mg dosage strength. The company had already launched the drug, which is indicated to treat recurrent ventricular arrhythmia, in 400-mg dosage strength. 

 

“Amiodarone is the latest in a series of recent product launches that reinforce Mayne Pharma’s commitment to expanding patient access to high-quality generic pharmaceuticals,” Mayne Pharma USA president John Ross said. “These generic alternatives offer patients more choices in terms of medication affordability.”

 

According to QuintilesIMS data, brand and generic sales for 100-mg strength amiodarone tablets were $23 million for the 12 months ended November 2016.
