Med-eMonitor to be sold through pharmacies

ROCKVILLE, Md. Creative Tecknology will market and sell the Med-eMonitor System to its customers and through its relationships with pharmacies. The company is also seeking to receive health system reimbursement for the system from Canada Health and Canadian provincial health authorities.

According to Creative Tecknology’s president Rinaldo Landucci, “Med-eMonitor is a system that provides medical reminders via a signaling alarm that notifies you of your medication time. It also provides you with information about the medication you are about to take and a short well being questionnaire. In Canada up to 300,000 patients per year are hospitalized from taking meds incorrectly, and many people forget to take important medications even though that can place them at serious risk. At Creative Tecknology we’d like to change that.”

In addition to storing medications and tracking patient adherence, the Med-eMonitor provides healthcare professionals with real-time alerts when patients miss their medications or if their health declines.
