Merck announces dividend for 1Q 2009

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. Merck and Co.’s board of director announced Wednesday a $0.38 quarterly dividend to be paid per share on common stock for first quarter 2009.

The $0.38 dividend will be payable Jan. 2, 2009. Eligible stockholders must be on record by close of business Dec. 5.
