Mirixa launches new patient-care Web tool
NEW ORLEANS A targeted patient-care services company has launched a Web-based tool to allow pharmacists to design patient-care programs.
Mirixa Corp., a company sponsored by the National Community Pharmacists Association, announced the launch of MirixaEdge, which it said would allow pharmacists to design the programs regardless of a patient’s health plan, employer or age, using the MirixaPro clinical platform.
MirixaEdge works by giving pharmacists predefined templates for such conditions as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and asthma to create personalized programs for patients. The program also includes a medication therapy management template, and Mirixa plans additional templates as well.
"MirixaEdge helps pharmacists improve health outcomes for their patients, drive down healthcare costs and provide greater access to care,” Mirixa CEO Rick Solano stated. “The product expands patient care opportunities for community pharmacy, and enables pharmacists to proactively engage their patients in the kind of dialogue that drives customer loyalty and trust."
