Mylan intros generic Antabuse tabs

POTTERS BAR, England and PITTSBURGH — Mylan on Wednesday announced the launch of disulfiram tablets USP in dosage strengths of 250 mg and 500 mg.



The drug, the generic version of Antabuse from Odyssey Pharmaceutical, is indicated for the management of select chronic alcohol patients, who wish to remain in “a state of enforced sobriety so that supportive and psychotherapeutic treatment may be applied to the best advantage,” Mylan stated.


 


Disulfiram tablets had sales in the United States of $16.4 million for the 12 months ending Dec. 31, 2014, according to IMS Health.
