Mylan launches generic Subutex

POTTERS BAR, England and PITTSBURGH — Mylan expanded its portfolio of generic products with the U.S. launch of buprenorphine hydrochloride sublingual tablets in 2-mg and 8-mg strengths. The tablets are the generic version of Subutex tablets from Reckitt Benckiser and are indicated for the treatment of opioid dependence. 

 

Buprenorphine hydrochloride sublingual tablets had sales in the United States of $107.8 million for the 12 months ending Dec. 31, 2014 according to IMS Health data.
