NextCare to open Curry Clinic in Tempe
MESA, Ariz. NextCare recently announced the Sept. 17 grand opening of its urgent care Curry Clinic in Tempe, Ariz.
Located in the heart of the ASU community, the clinic will cover, among its specialties, occupational medicine, physicals/health exams, flu shots, labs and X-rays, sexually transmitted disease testing, emergency contraceptives, allergies, sinus infections, cold and cough, sore throat, flu-like symptoms, pneumonia, workers’ comp injuries and drug screens.
“As an alumnus of ASU, I am thrilled that NextCare is a part of such a vibrant and dynamic community,” explains Dr. John Shufeldt, NextCare founder and chief executive officer.
A perfect alternative to ASU’s health center, whose hours are more limited, NextCare accepts all major insurance and provides medical discount programs to those without insurance or those who are looking for additional savings. The Curry Clinic also offers affordable prescriptions on site, eliminating a need to travel to a separate pharmacy. The clinic’s hours will be 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. during the week and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the weekend.
“We have been following the growth in the North Tempe area and feel strongly that there are insufficient urgent care services when considering the local population growth and ASU’s more transient population,” said Laurel Stoimenoff, NextCare president. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to serve this dynamic community.”
