NHP saves members money with CARExpress program
HORSHAM, Pa. National Health Partners is launching a new CARExpress pharmacy discount program that will provide members discounts on brand name and generic drugs across the country.
The program will be a private-labeled prescription discount plan that features a four-tiered formulary. Tiers 1, 2 and 3 will include all brand and generic drugs that a maximum allowable cost of up to $10, $20 and $40 respectively. Tier 4 will consist of all brand and generic drugs above $40.
Member will be able to use the card at over 50,000 pharmacies and through mail order pharmacies including CVS, Target, Walgreens, Eckerd, Giant and Rite Aid.
The program will begin within the next few weeks and will be offered as a stand-alone program as well as an add-on program to the company’s existing CARExpress health discount programs and CARExpress Plus programs.
National Health Partners president and chief executive officer David Daniels said of the deal that, “We are very excited to add this program to our arsenal of member benefits because the formulary feature enables our members to save more money on their brand name and generic prescriptions than they can under traditional pharmacy discount programs.
