Novo Nordisk named one of Fortune's 100 best companies to work for

PRINCETON, N.J. Novo Nordisk, a pharmaceutical company that specializes in diabetes, has made Fortune Magazine's list of the 100 best companies to work for, according to a statement by the company.

Novo Nordisk said Thursday that it made the list based on a survey of employees' opinions of how well the company promotes a positive work environment through benefit packages and professional development opportunities, as well as attitudes about management credibility, job satisfaction and camaraderie.

"It is an honor to be named one of the 100 best companies to work for," Novo Nordisk president Jerzy Gruhn said in a statement. "Our company reflects the passion our employees bring to our vision of defeating diabetes and helping people with unmet medical needs."
