Penelope Scott, Kathryn Darienzo join sales staff at Medizine

NEW YORK Suzanne Polizzi, executive vice president of Sales and Marketing at MediZine has announced has announced the appointment of two new hires to the MediZine sales staff: Penelope Scott as vice president of Sales and Marketing and Kathryn Darienzo as sales director.

Both hires come as part of the “momentous growth in interest in MediZine’s REMEDY Direct Digital division,” the company stated. ”Penny is a solution seller whose traditional selling techniques will benefit the expansion of REMEDY Direct’s Digital business, contributing to the success of our company,” said Polizzi. For the past ten years, Scott has been with Time Inc. as senior sales executive at TIME and TIME.com as well as senior vice president of Americas Advertising Sales at TIME International. Previously, she served as vice president of advertising for North and South America at the Financial Times.

Kathryn Darienzo comes to MediZine from RealAge, Inc, where she worked as business development director on expanding and evolving strategic sales programs with pharmaceutical and e-commerce businesses. Polizzi explained that “Kathryn’s digital experience brings a much-needed understanding of new medium business, that we need to evolve this aspect of the company into a powerful marketing tool.” Previously Darienzo served tenure as associate publisher of Contemporary Pediatrics at Advanstar Communications.
