Perrigo launches its Hycodan generic

DUBLIN — Perrigo on Monday announced the launch of its generic of Endo’s Hycodan (hydrocodone bitartrate and homatropine methylbromide oral solution). The drug is indicated for symptomatic relief of cough in adults and children 6 years of age and older.

"This launch is another example of Perrigo's ongoing commitment to developing quality, high value alternatives in the cough and cold treatment category,” Perrigo CEO John Hendrickson said. “As we continue to deliver on our mission of providing Quality Affordable Healthcare Products, the Rx team expects to launch two more products by the end of this month and more than five products by the end of the calendar year.”

The drug had U.S. sales of $15 million for the 12 months ended April 2017, Perrigo said.
