Pharmacy commended for diabetes care leadership

MODESTO, Calif. A pharmacy in Modesto, Calif., has been commended and awarded for its diabetes care efforts at the AmerisourceBergen National Healthcare Conference and Exposition, according to The Modesto Bee.

Carranza Pharmacy, a two-store chain in the area, received the Diabetes Shoppe Living Without Limits Award for recognition as a leader in providing diabetes care to the community.

The pharmacy has been bilingual since it opened 21 years ago and provides diabetes education classes every two months, free diabetes meters and numerous products for diabetics.
