Pharmacy school at UNC renamed

NEW YORK The School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill got a new name Wednesday.

It will be renamed for Fred Eshelman, who graduated from the school in 1972 and now heads PPD, a Wilmington, N.C.-based international pharmaceutical contract research organization. Since 2003, Eshelman has donated about $33 million to the school.
