PharmaPendium expands searchable database for tracking drug safety

10/14/2008

NEW YORK PharmaPendium, an online databank about drug safety, has begun offering the European Medicines Agency’s European Public Assessment Reports to be used by subscribers for research.

Elsevier, which owns the site, said the new offering will make it the only source of consolidated, searchable access to drug-approval documents from the EMEA and the Food and Drug Administration on a single site.

“The pharmaceutical industry is facing increasing pressure to identify drug candidates with the best possible safety, delivery and efficacy profiles as early as possible, and PharmaPendium is uniquely positioned to address these challenges,” Elsevier senior product manager Philip MacLaughlin said.

The searchable database can be accessed at http://www.info.pharmapendium.com.
