PrescribeWellness intros PrescribeMedicare

IRVINE, Calif. — PrescribeWellness on Tuesday launched its newest tool for community pharmacists. The cloud services company’s latest offering is its PrescribeMedicare software, developed through the collective efforts of different pharmacy services administrative organizations (PSAOs) like AccessHealth, Elevate Provider Network and EPIC Pharmacy Network.

 

“Medicare Part D plan options continue to be more and more complicated for our senior patients,” said Susan Maze, COO of American Pharmacy Copperative, which oversees American Pharmacy Network Solutions. “This new tool from our technology partner, PrescribeWellness, helps patients review their options and make the best decision for their prescription needs.”

 

PrescribeMedicare is meant to serve as a tool for patients in 2016 when open enrollment for plan choices begins. Using PrescribeMedicare, pharmacists can look though plans with their patients and choose the best one based on their needs and current medication regimens.
