PrescribeWellness named NCPA’s official Simplify My Meds med sync technology

10/18/2016

NEW ORLEANS — The National Community Pharmacists Association on Tuesday announced that PrescribeWellness is now the Official Medication Synchronization Technology of NCPA’s Simplify My Meds program for community pharmacies.

“It is an honor to partner with NCPA as the Official Med Sync Technology of Simplify My Meds,” PrescribeWellness president and CEO Al Babbington said. “We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to continuing our work with NCPA to encourage pharmacists to enroll patients in med sync and use the pick-up date to offer extended patient care services.”

PrescribeWelness’s med sync solution is called StarWellness and it allows pharmacies to identify patients who would benefit from med sync to make it easier for pharmacists to address adherence issues. It also helps pharmacists recruit patients, enroll them and manage their medication month-over-month with an electronic med sync calendar.

“2016 marks the five-year anniversary of Simplify My Meds," NCPA CEO Doug Hoey said. "And now, nearly 85 percent of full-line independent pharmacies offer med sync services benefitting more than 1.6 million patients. We are excited to work with PrescribeWellness to help our community pharmacy members enroll millions of additional Americans in med sync and improve their adherence to their prescribed medications."
