QS/1 launches SharpRx software

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — On the heels of its unveiling a new logo and website, pharmacy software solutions company QS/1 on Wednesday announced the launch of its newest software, SharpRx, which is aimed at making filling prescriptions and billing insurance easier for independent and small-chain pharmacies. SharpRx uses touch-screen capabilities for quick navigation and also contains extensive reporting features, according to QS/1.


“Pharmacists need to do everyday tasks as quickly as possible,” QS/1 president Tammy Devine said. “SharpRx gives pharmacies the tools to immediately begin processing prescriptions faster than ever before.”


The company said that pharmacists asked to test SharpRx filled prescriptions before being trained. Additionally, the system works with already existing equipment like barcode scanners and printers. It also has tool for checking eligibility, ensuring prior authorization, and PMP reporting. SharpRx features a clinical update feature that has images and imprints as well as prescriber updates and remote backup.


“SharpRx shows our continued innovation and commitment to enhancing automation in the healthcare industry,” Devine said. “We are always moving forward for our customers.”
