QS/1 offers interface with Omnicell’s SureMed

5/10/2016

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — QS/1 announced Tuesday that it was the first pharmacy management technology company to interface with Omnicell’s SureMed Guided Packing software, which increases pharmacy accuracy in filling multiple medication blister cards.

“QS/1 is honored to partner with Omnicell to offer this packaging solution to pharmacies,” QS/1 president Tammy Devine said. “This software interface will not only help pharmacies be more productive but will help improve patient medication adherence.”

The SureMed Guided Packing software is web-based and guides technicians through the procedure for filling blister cards. By interfacing with QS/1’s pharmacy management system, information doesn’t have to be entered twice, saving pharmacists time while ensuring accuracy in their hand-packing procedures. The interface also allows direct printing onto the SureMed Guided Packing blister card and includes a co-branding option to allow pharmacies to print their logo on the cards.

“We are pleased to be able to offer increased options and flexibility to our pharmacy partners as they look to scale their adherence programs. Guided Packing is the latest step in this trajectory, helping to make hand packing more accurate for optimal patient safety,” Omnicell VP and general manager of global automation and medication adherence said Troy Hilsenroth said. “Introducing the new packing software interface with a partner such as QS/1 gets us off to a great start.”
