Restat appoints new COO

WEST BEND, Wis. A pharmacy benefit manager announced Friday the appointment of a new member of its executive team.

Restat said it appointed John Bergan as chief operating officer. Bergan will report to president David Kwasny and oversee senior management responsible for information technology, clinical programs and service operations departments.

Bergan has worked in the pharmacy benefit manager industry for 25 years, serving as Restat’s VP operations for the last 12 years.

“We’re focused on continued investment and innovation in Restat systems to ensure our clients and their plan members are empowered with the high quality tools they need to effectively manage their prescription benefit,” Bergan said. “Restat is also looking internally at new ways to create efficiency and better measure success, by deploying more sophisticated performance measurement tools throughout the organization.”

The company also appointed two people to new management positions, in which will report to Bergan. Jo Mischker, who has worked for Restat for 15 years, was promoted to VP information technology. Patrick McComis, who has worked for the company for 12 years, was promoted to VP clinical and operations.
