Rite Aid has named new leadership for its pharmacy benefit management company. The company appointed Ben Bulkley CEO of EnvisionRXOptions, reporting to Rite Aid CEO John Standley.
Most recently, Bulkley was CEO of Trellis Ex, a private equity-backed company he co-founded that builds specialty pharmacies for health systems. Prior to Trellis Rx, he led Aetna’s specialty business, including pharmacy, behavior health and TPA businesses. His pharmacy responsibilities included benefit design, clinical, compliance, pharmaceutical contracting, network management, mail order and specialty pharmacy, among others.
“Ben is an entrepreneurial leader with extensive health care and technology experience along with a proven track record of driving results through innovation and operational excellence,” Standley said. “We will benefit tremendously from his knowledge and expertise as he leads the EnvisionRxOptions team and advances our efforts to provide an even higher level of care and service to our customers, patients and clients.”
Bulkley also has served as COO of Allscripts, a provider of a healthcare IT platform focused on connected care; senior vice president of global commercial operations at life sciences tech, disease research and drug discovery company Invitrogen; and vice president and general manager of global services in the IT division of General Electric’s health care business.
