Rite Aid Online Care to enter Pittsburgh market

11/5/2010

CAMP HILL, Pa. Rite Aid will introduce Rite Aid Online Care to the Pittsburgh market, a service that offers patients live online interactive personal consultations with specially trained Rite Aid pharmacists via a computer, at the American Diabetes Association on Nov. 6.

Rite Aid Online Care can be accessed from home or office and also is available for those without Internet access at select Rite Aid pharmacies in the Pittsburgh area, the druggist announced. At those pharmacies, patients in a private consultation room can connect via computer with a pharmacist specializing in a chronic disease state. A patient using Rite Aid Online Care in a Rite Aid pharmacy or a patient with a webcam on their computer will be able to see the pharmacist face to face.

Rite Aid Online Care, accessed by visiting RiteAidOnlineCare.com is powered by American Well, which has created the advanced Web-based technologies to enable the online service and provide affordable, efficient access to quality care.
