Sanofi begins $60 million Arizona construction

SUGARLAND, Texas Sanofi-Aventis has begun construction on a $60 million research center located in Oro Valley, Arizona.

The company purchased an 11-acre site in Innovation Park to construct the 110,000 square foot facility, which will be built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards to help ensure a constant supply for the company’s drug pipeline, according to a 2006 report.

Sanofi-Aventis U.S. employs approximately 16,000 employees in the United States located at 14 geographical sites throughout the country. The U.S. affiliate headquarters are located in Bridgewater, NJ.
