Serono to expand Billerica facility

ROCKLAND, Mass. Serono is planning on expanding it facility in Billerica, due to a new tax incentive being proposed by Gov. Deval Patrick, according to published reports.

Serono which focuses on multiple sclerosis and fertility drugs, is one of several life-science companies expected to benefit from Patrick’s $1 billion package of tax incentives and grants for the life-science industry, now nearing passage in the Legislature.
