Take Care opens three clinics in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Take Care Health Systems, an in-store clinic operator that is owned by Walgreens, has opened three Take Care Health Clinics within Walgreens in the Nashville area. By the end of the year, the company plans to open five additional locations with further expansion in the area planned for 2008.

Many insurance plans are accepted at the clinics, including Aetna, ChoiceCare, CIGNA, Great West, Humana, Mutliplan and Medicare, and more plans will be added soon, including UnitedHealthcare. If insured by one of these plans, patients pay their regular co-pay. For the uninsured or cash payers, prices average $59 to $74 and are clearly posted on takecarehealth.com and clinic signage.

The company currently manages 107 clinics in Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Houston, Kansas City, Mo., Las Vegas, Miami, Milwaukee, Nashville, Orlando, Fla., Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Tampa, Fla., and Tucson, Ariz. The plan is to open more than 400 clinics by the end of 2008.
