Target offers flavored medications for kids

MINNEAPOLIS Mary Poppins may have said, “a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down”, but Target Corp.’s pharmacy department is allowing its customers to flavor their liquid medications free of charge.

Target pharmacy is offering its customers to have their liquid medications taste like their favorite candy or fruit flavor, the company announced Monday.

The retailer’s program allows shoppers to choose from 19 different flavors for liquid medications. The free option was created to eliminate the eternal battle between children and their parents, the company said. Guests simply need to ask their local Target pharmacist for the flavorings and specify which flavor they would like added.

Another innovation is the ClearRx program, with the introduction of a mess-free liquid medication bottle and dispenser.
