Teva announces availability of generic Sonata

NORTH WALES, Pa. Teva Pharmaceuticals has introduced its new drug, Zaleplon capsules, which is the generic version of King Pharmaceuticals’ insomnia drug Sonata.

The drug is now available in 5 mg and 10 mg strengths, in bottles of 100.

Sonata had sales of $88 million during the 12 months ending March 31, according to IMS Health data.
