Teva to market generic Sarafem

NORTH WALES, Pa. Teva Pharmaceuticals has announced the availability of its new product, Selfemra, the generic of Warner Chilcott’s Sarafem.

The drug is used to relieve both the mood and physical symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

The generic will be available in 10 mg and 20 mg strengths, in blister packs of 28.

Sarafem had sales last year of $37.7 million, according to Warner Chilcott.
