Teva’s generic Lamictal available

NORTH WALES, Pa. Teva has announced the availability of its new drug, lamotrigine tablets, the generic of GlaxoSmithKline’s bipolar I disorder and adjunctive therapy for partial seizure medication Lamictal.

Lamotrigine tablets are available in 25 and 100 mg strengths, in bottle sizes of 100, and in 150 and 200 mg strengths, in bottle sizes of 60.

Lamictal had annual sales in the U.S. of about $2.6 billion.
