Transdel names Swann to board of directors

LA JOLLA, Calif. A company that specializes in topical prescription medications announced a new appointment to its board of directors Monday.

Transdel Pharmaceuticals said it had appointed Lynn Swann, who serves on the board of directors of H.J. Heinz Company, Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company and Harrah’s Entertainment.

“Over the course of his life in the public eye, Mr. Swann has proven himself to be a great leader both on and off the field,” Transdel president and chief executive Juliet Singh said in a statement. “Transdel is extremely fortunate to strengthen its board of directors by adding an individual as experienced and accomplished as Mr. Swann.”

The company, based in La Jolla, Calif., markets products such as Ketotransdel, a topical pain medication that uses ketoprofen as its active ingredient.
