Walgreens awards $250,000 scholarship money to Florida A&M
TALLAHASSE, Fla. Just over a week after it was told that its probation had been lifted, the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A&M University has been awarded $250,000 in scholarship money for students from Walgreens, according to published reports.
More than 400 FAMU graduates are employed with the Walgreens Pharmacy enterprise.
“This is indeed the largest contribution that Walgreens has given to the College of Pharmacy in our 50-some odd year history in operations,” said pharmacy dean Henry Lewis.
