Washington awards CARE Pharmacies HIV/AIDS coverage contract

ARLINGTON, Va. The District of Columbia has awarded CARE Pharmacies a contract to provide services to people with HIV and AIDS with coverage under the AIDS Drug Assistance Program, the pharmacy-franchising network announced Monday.

Pharmacists for CARE will provide consultations, drug-interaction reviews, refill reminders and community outreach programs for about 4,500 people.

CARE’s network includes 22 pharmacies throughout the district.
