Wockhardt's generic divalproex sodium drug approved by FDA
ROCKVILLE, Md. The Food and Drug Administration has approved Wockhardt's generic divalproex sodium extended-release tablets, agency records show.
The tablets, available in the 250-mg strength, are used to treat epilepsy and bipolar disorder.
The drug is a generic version of Abbott's Depakote ER. Depakote has sales of $126 million, according to IMS Health data.
