Wyeth agrees not to sue Sun over generic Effexor

MUMBAI, India Sun Pharmaceuticals has received a contract from Wyeth that states the company will not sue it over the company’s application for a generic form of Wyeth’s drug Effexor XR capsules, according to the EconomicTimes.com.

The generic, venlafaxine extended release tablets will be available in three strengths: 37.5, 75, and 150 mgs. The drug is an antidepressant.

The three strengths of Effexor XR had annual sales of $2.6 billion.
