Publix to administer J&J COVID-19 vaccine at select Georgia, Tennessee pharmacies

Publix is bringing the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to pharmacies in select locations.

The retailer announced that it would be providing this specific vaccine to 21 Georgia and 23 Tennessee locations.

In Georgia, the vaccine will be administered in the Barrow, Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Greene, Gwinnett, Henry, Houston, Jackson, Muscogee, Oconee and Paulding counties.

Those interested in registering for the vaccine in Tennessee will be able to do so in the Bradley, Davidson, Greene, Hamilton, Knox, Montgomery, Putnam, Rutherford, Sevier, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson counties.

Provided by appointment only and while supplies last, in both states priority will be given to K-12 and child care teachers, as well as personnel directed by the federal government.

A list of who is eligible in each state can be found on the Georgia and Tennessee department of health website.

To register for the vaccine, individuals are able to do so via Publix’s online reservation system.
