Publix makes Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Diversity list

Publix is celebrating a brand-new recognition.

The Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer announced that it has come in at No. 23 on Fortune’s 2019 Best Workplaces for Diversity list.

Focusing on the experiences of women, people of color, members of the LGTBQ+ community, those with disabilities and those who belong to the baby boomer or older generations, the list was compromised of survey feedback of more than 4.8 million employees across the United States from these groups, the company said.

Those who took the survey were also asked about camaraderie within their workplace environment, company values, company trust and leadership effectiveness.

Wegmans was also recognized by coming in at No. 21 on the same list.
