Publix to open Kentucky store
Publix’s footprint is expanding.
Recently, the retailer announced that it has signed a lease for its first location in Kentucky.

The store, to be located in Louisville, will be on the northwest corner of Terra Crossing Boulevard and Old Henry Road in the state’s Jefferson County.
In addition to housing its supermarket, the shopping center where the store will be located, will also house a Publix Liquors, the first location to be outside of the state of Florida, the Lakeland, Fla.-based company said.

A grand opening date for the store has not yet been determined and will depend on permits and completion of construction, but is anticipated to open during the fourth quarter of 2023.

Moving into Kentucky is a natural progression for our company, and we are excited to serve and be a part of this vibrant community,” Publix CEO Todd Jones commented on the opportunity to serve the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
