Publix’s leadership division undergoes change
Publix is shaking up its leadership division with a new appointment.
Recently, the Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer announced that John Goff has been appointed to the role of senior vice president of retail operations, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

Goff began his career in 1991 as a front service clerk in Jacksonville, Fla., and worked in various positions before being promoted to store manager in 2005.
In 2010, he was named the Jacksonville Division district manager, took over as Miami Division regional director in 2014 and in 2019 was named the Miami Division vice president.

As a result of Goff’s promotion, the current regional director, Matt Crawley, will be taking over as Miami Division vice president, the company said.
“John and Matt are both seasoned, high-energy leaders with a passion for people and helping their teams grow,” president Kevin Murphy said. “Their ability to motivate associates to give their personal best and deliver the highest level of service will play a critical role in preparing Publix for future growth. We are excited to see all they will accomplish in the next steps of their careers.”
