CVS Health's Merlo to address Town Hall Los Angeles
CVS Health's president and CEO, Larry Merlo will share his thoughts on the accelerated pace of change in health care and his vision for transforming America's $3.6 trillion health care system during a gathering of Town Hall Los Angeles. His talk is set for Sept. 20.
"Today's health care system has become increasingly fragmented and too complex for people to navigate and afford and without true innovation, more Americans will simply be without health care in the future," Merlo said.
Town Hall Los Angeles is the city’s largest public speaking forums for presenting solutions to the most relevant issues affecting the Los Angeles community.
Ahead of his remarks, Merlo said that the future combination of CVS Health and Aetna, one of the nation's leading diversified health care benefits companies, will combine data-driven insights, new digital technologies, and the convenience of local community-based care to establish a new health care delivery model that is easier to use, less expensive and puts consumers at the center of their care.
Town Hall Los Angeles is a non-profit, nonpartisan speaker's forum, providing a platform for discussing and debating pressing issues. It also is dedicated to promoting civic participation in the Los Angeles community.
