CVS Pharmacy shuffles roles for front-store, merchandising execs

CVS Health is expanding roles of CVS Pharmacy’s front-store leadership to pave a way for the stores to serve as "the new front door to health care" as it integrates Aetna into its business.

Judy Sansone, CVS Pharmacy senior vice president of front-store business and chief merchant, will be focused on leading the front-store retail strategy and growth team. Sansone's team will be in charge of the company's new health hub pilot stores, health services, new formats and partnership. Her team will work alongside and in support of enterprise transformation efforts led by executive vice president Alan Lotvin and his team.

Additionally, George Coleman has been named senior vice president of merchandising, reporting to Sansone. He was most recently vice president of merchandising for consumer health care — a role he assumed in 2014. Coleman joined CVS in 2012 to lead its store brands business. In his new role, he will oversee all of the front-store categories, including general merchandise, edibles, beauty and personal care, store brands, and health care.
