Walgreens will be selling creams, sprays and patches containing CBD in roughly 1,500 stores, the company confirmed to
Drug Store News Wednesday.
Vice president of corporate communications Brian Faith said Walgreens would be selling the products in Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, South Carolina, Illinois and Indiana, but did not share details about which brands would be included in the assortment.
“This product offering is in line with our efforts to provide a wider range of accessible health and well-being products and services to best meet the needs and preferences of our customers,” Faith said.
The move comes on the heels of
CVS Pharmacy’s announcement last week that it would be selling CBD products in such states as California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and Tennessee. Curaleaf is one of the brands being sold at CVS Pharmacy, per the cannabis company’s CEO.
