4/27/2015

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — In an effort to highlight the achievements of Enactus, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action, several Enactus retail partners, members and others gathered for an intimate networking reception Sunday evening at The Breakers.

Alex Perwich, president of Enactus U.S., greeted attendees and provided an overview of the organization, which has 1,700 university programs worldwide and 70,500 participating students.

Several Enactus partners also took the stage, including Mark Wagner, president operations and community management at Walgreens; Shawn Townzen, VP and DMM personal care at Walmart; and Jocy Konrad, GVP pharmacy initiatives and clinical services at Rite Aid.

Capping off the event was a presentation by Enactus members Chelsea Reppin and Rudselyne De Kort of Flagler College, who discussed recent Enactus projects, including the establishment of a new Black History Museum in St. Augustine, Fla., to shed light on the area’s rich African-American heritage.
