DENVER — Monday morning at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Total Store Expo, Dan Salemi, Albertsons group vice president of pharmacy services, was awarded IQVIA’s Bernie Greenberg Pharmacy Partnership Award.

Salemi was presented the award by IQVIA vice president of supplier management Jim Hunter, vice president of industry relations Doug Long, vice president of global supplier services Bob Wahl and consultant Sarah Keefer. The presentation preceded Long's and Keefer's presentation, “Pharmaceutical Trends, Issues and Forecasts.”

“I’ve known this individual for 25 years and he also personally knew Bernie Greenberg, and Bernie really respected him,” Hunter said before presenting the award. “I know Bernie would be very, very happy for this individual to be receiving his award.”

The award, given in conjunction with the NACDS Foundation, is named for longtime industry veteran Bernard “Bernie” Greenberg, who spent 35 years with Bristol Myers before starting a second career as a consultant for IMS Health and Novo Nordisk.
