SLIDESHOW: DSN honors Rite Aid’s Robert Thompson

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Drug Store News on Tuesday hosted an invitation-only reception in honor of recently retired Rite Aid EVP pharmacy Robert Thompson, recipient of the 2015 DSN Pharmacy Innovator Award. The award was created to honor a pharmacy executive whose work has helped to advance the profession of pharmacy and elevate the role of the community pharmacist.

For his leadership in the renewal of Rite Aid’s retail pharmacy business and his many efforts on behalf of pharmacy practice, patient health and a higher level of patient care by pharmacists throughout his career, Thompson has been named the 2015 DSN Pharmacy Innovator of the Year. DSN’s November issue included coverage of Thompson’s career and accomplishments.
