Southeastern Grocers’ Hispanic grocery store — Fresco y Más — is expanding its reach.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-.based company announced that its banner would be making its debut in the Southwest Florida region.

Opening on Oct. 21 in Lehigh Acres, Fl., this new store will feature flavors and offerings specific to the community, including a full-service Latin butcher shop, also known as a carnicería, an expanded selection of custom cut meats, and a bakery that will serve tres leches cake, croquettes and Cuban coffee, the company said.

“At Southeastern Grocers, we are committed to cultivating a shopping experience that meets the needs of each community we serve and is tailored to the everyday lifestyles of our customers,” Anthony Hucker, president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, said. “With a growing desire for Hispanic products in Southwest Florida, we are thrilled to introduce the Lehigh Acres community to our Hispanic grocery store — Fresco y Más. The new store will feature all the aspects customers love about our Fresco y Más stores as well as personalized offerings fit for the Lehigh Acres community.”

Just ahead of the store’s grand opening, Fresco y Más will donate 25,000 pounds of fresh produce, as well as shelf-stable foods, to the local community via a drive-through mobile food pantry that will be held in partnership with Lehigh Community Services.
