Southeastern Grocers is expanding the number of its Winn-Dixie banners.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-based company announced the opening of a new Winn-Dixie store in Florida’s Viera neighborhood.

Located in the Viera Village Center at 5410 Murrell Road, the new location features six front-row golf cart parking spaces to cater to the transportation preferences of the community and a Tesla Supercharger.

In addition, the store also offers a full-service meat department, seafood department, farm-fresh produce department, specialty cheeses, more than 15 varieties of artisan-baked bread, grab-and-go meal options, take-and-bake pizzas and fresh sushi.

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate our newest Viera store, the most recent of our nine new Winn-Dixie stores throughout Florida. This expansion marks our continued commitment to increase our presence in our home state, and to strengthen all the communities in which we serve,” Anthony Hucker, president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, said. “We look forward to providing our Viera community fresh, quality products tailored to their unique needs and preferences, while delivering remarkable service that they can always count on.”

Winn-Dixie will follow local, state and federal guidelines in regard to COVID-19 safety precautions, and will encourage shoppers to practice social distancing and wear the necessary protective equipment while shopping, the company said.
