Target awarding team member bonus ahead of holiday season

The holiday shopping season is fast approaching, and in the spirit of the most wonderful time of the year — Target is rewarding its employees.

Target announced that it will be awarding more than 350,000 of its front-line team members a $200 bonus.

Those eligible for the bonus include all hourly employees in both the stores and distribution centers. Seasonal hires and those who support the retailer’s guests and contact centers also are eligible.

“In a year like no other, I’m proud of what this team has accomplished and grateful for the care and connection they’ve provided our guests and communities,” Melissa Kremer, Target’s chief human resources officer said. “Target’s success this year is a direct result of our team members turning our purpose into action and meeting our guests’ changing needs day after day.

This new bonus is part of the company’s investment of more than $70 million in its team ahead of the holiday season, and is the fourth time this year that team members have been given a bonus, the company said.
