Target celebrates Black History Month with reimagined campaign

Target is celebrating Black History Month by putting a new spin on its annual Black Beyond Measure campaign.

The retailer decided to put a new twist on the campaign in part due to the current social conversation in order to engage guests as well as celebrate Black life authentically, the company said.

During the month of February, Target will feature marketing, merchandise and content, as well as events aimed at inspiring guests and team members by showcasing Black creators, entrepreneurs, products and brands.

Other aspects of the campaign include an exclusive Black History Month product assortment both in stores and online that will span across such categories as apparel, toys, entertainment, stationery, beauty, home, gifting and accessories.

Also featured will be designs from three art students who participated in an HBCU design challenge, and a series of events from the retailer’s African American Business Council.
