Walgreens' Ashworth outlines testing plans on 'GMA'
As Walgreens pushes to open more COVID-19 testing sites nationwide, the chain's president, Richard Ashworth, took to "Good Morning America" on Friday to highlight testing availability and the efforts that Walgreens is taking to ensure a safe shopping experience.
Ashworth, who recently was named chairman of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, spoke to Michael Strahan about the challenges of ramping up testing but highlighted how the industry has come together to meet the challenge of getting tests to Americans. He also noted that as the population need shifts toward antibody and serology tests, pharmacy is well-positioned to help.
"We're really looking forward to being part of the solution," he said.
