Walgreens launches nationwide same-day delivery

Walgreens is making more than 24,000 products in its assortment available in under two hours via contactless, same-day delivery. The new fulfillment method is available via Walgreens.com and the Walgreens app, with no minimum order required. 

The company said shoppers who are myWalgreens members can earn and use Walgreens Cash rewards and redeem digital promotions and coupons. The eligible products, delivery hours and delivery fees vary by location, Walgreens said. 

“As the country gets ready to emerge from the pandemic, Walgreens continues its focus on enhancing our customer experience through integrated and simplified shopping solutions,” said Stefanie Kruse, vice president of digital commerce at Walgreens. “Since the launch of myWalgreens in November 2020, we are constantly innovating to provide convenient delivery options to our customers that make their lives easier. We are confident that customers will enjoy our new same-day delivery functionality for those last-minute needs.”

The same-day delivery roll-out is the latest in Walgreens’ convenience-focused offerings. Over the past 13 months, it has added curbside and in-store pickup options, expanded its partnership with Postmates and added partnerships for delivery with DoorDash and Instacart.
